History

 The Famous Schooner Hotel and Restaurant, a listed 17th century coaching inn only 100 yards from the beach, river and golf course, has been the hub of Alnmouth village since its first customer back in the 1600's, and remains one of the most well known and respected hotels in the North East of England.

Notable persons said to have stayed at The Schooner include Charles Dickens, John Wesley, Basil Rathbone, Douglas Bader and even King George III and there is always the chance of meeting our Resident Ghost - "Parson Smyth"! There is little doubting that our motto "Comfort with Character" is justly deserved, and this can be seen by the number of guests who return to The Famous Schooner time and time again.

After an aperitif in the Chase Bar, join us for dinner in the delightful Malcolm Miller Suite, with a selection of superb homemade dishes, an extensive international wine list, and service to match. Or, if you prefer, treat yourself to dinner in "Seahunters", our specialist Seafood and Game Restaurant.

LOCATION SPECIFICATION

THE LOCATION WAS SPLIT UP IN TO 5 INNER LOCATIONS. THE HOTEL WAS WAS CLOSED AT 11 PM TEAM PRESENT WERE DEANNA DANNY GUESTS DEANNE SHARON GENIE GRAHAM AND STEVEN. ALONG WITH OTHER NORTHEN-GHOST-INVESTIGATIONS TEAMS

THE NIGHT ACTIVITY REPORTED

11 PM

THE CELLAR
This was our first location with the guest not knowing what they were in for this was the ideal first location. Danny, Deanna, led the guests Sharon, Deanne, Genie, Graham and Steven in to the cellar down the steps there was no lights and steep steps. We decided to try using the pendulum Sharon is a complete skeptic and we thought it would be good to test her out. See the video to see what she picked up and how she dealt with it!

Whilst in the cellar we had a couple of temp drops from 17c - 14c then a sudden temp increase to 21c but we ruled this out to be our body heats as there was 7 people in a small space. We called out and asked for some sign’s but nothing out the ordinary happened the emf meter also picked up on readings of 2mg there was main wires above but this wasn’t due to them because of the gam in between were the readings were 0mg. there rest of the investigation the cellar resulted to nothing so we headed to base for a quick brake.....

11.30 PM

Room 28!!!
We all had high expectations about this curtain rooms as room 28 is reported to be the most haunted room in the hotel, but this inner location wasn’t very active at all. We arrived and recorded temp which was at 21c. noises from the bathroom at the start of the inner location did startle (Guest Deanne) we cant rule this out as the other teams were down stairs and were not in the next room also there has been reports of guest sleeping in the room and having the feeling of something pushing them down or the feeling of some thing heavy on them. Each team member tried this out; graham had the feeling of something near him. Danny laid on the bed and felt like his left leg was dead he couldn’t move it also Sharon tried lain on the bed she could feel and cold patch on one side of the bed when the temp was taken the wall was reading 21c and the bed on the cold side was reading 13c the wholes room average temp was 21c so we couldn’t account for this and could only put this down to being a paranormal cold patch we did catch one orb which startled us see the pic here in normal and negative so can see a face we check the surface of the door were the pic was taken and there was no marks on the door for this to have appeared on the photo. We finished in room 28 and went in to room 29!!!

Room 29!!!
 We liked this room as this room came across to us as the most paranormal active. All Of the team tried scribing in a mirror and each person that tried this all came us with the same thing sighting as every one else. we could all see a man we didn’t know his name we didn’t feel the need to know his name we were more excited that we were all seeing the same thing as every one else in our group. The man had a rounded hat big eyes and tash and a fat face. Also the man looked like he had a droopy face or eye, Also the sightings of a little girl we didn’t know if these girls were linked but theses were the faces we could see. “See the video of Danny” After a while we looked of the cam to record whilst we continued to call out.(Guest Deanne) feels like some things is on here face we didn’t know until we check back throw the footage that there was sprinkles of light.

The Seance

2.15 AM

The Corrador
After doing the séance in room 30 we decided to skip it and explore else were so we went down to the corridor we things have suppose to have happened, strangely on our way to the corridor we noticed that a couple of pictures had been moved that were hanging on the walls now we cant rule any thing out on this for sure it wasn’t any of the team so all can put this down to is either people staying in the hotel or staff? We got a couple of pictures of “dust” but nothing else that can say that with corridor is a paranormally active place. We continued till we had to move to our next location...

4:00 AM

We spent the last 30 - 45 mins in room 20 we Were all tired and was our last attempt to try and catch some paranormal activity emf and temp reads were normal. We did get one light anomaly on video “see video” We finished the location and ended back to base to discuss the nights activities with the other teams....
